The estate is quite hidden from U.S. Route 1, just before the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. The drive ends in a circular loop in front of the mansion and continues around to a large parking area, offering a discreet and serene arrival experience.
A Musician’s Delight:
As a former professional lead guitarist, I spent some time inside the mansion, waiting for my bridal party to finish their joyous celebration with dancing around the newly married couple. I was amazed at the marvelous acoustics in the reception dance hall. No matter where I stood, the music was clear but not overwhelmingly loud, despite the large PA system. The combination of the guests’ presence and the abundance of aged wood in the building absorbed the sound, making it a wonderful venue for a large wedding reception gathering.
